Gaza: A People's History

This film explores the history of this 400 km² stretch of land, wedged between Israel, Egypt, and the Mediterranean Sea, home to 2.23 million people, including 1.7 million refugees. The production revisit the key moments in the region’s history. It challenges our perceptions, examines media portrayals, and uncovers the stories behind the evolution of the Gaza Strip. This investigation draws on insights from eminent historians, political scientists, and regional experts, as well as firsthand accounts from direct witnesses of various conflicts, Gazans still living in Gaza, and contextual and personal archives.
