Ernst Beyeler had been dealing in art since 1947. Over the years he assembled an impressive collection, shown to the public at the Fondation Beyeler. Beyeler lets us in on the twists and turns of dealing with works by some of the greatest figures in modern art, and shows us pictures in his collection he has taken off the market despite their value. International art celebrities and selected members of the great man’s inner circle pay homage to one of the last eminent representatives of a bygone era, in which the art business was still driven by personal commitment.
